Um - we're hoping it won't be dangerous. We're kind of assuming it won't work, but just in case, we wanted someone from both of our Families to have a heads up if something happens.

You've heard that the boat is alive, technically, right? We want to try to talk to it.

[ Gingham has Phoenix practicing things like thinking ahead about doing something potentially dangerous and properly letting others know about it, what? Damn, that's amazing. ]

Unless you have to go somewhere really dangerous in the ship to do that, it doesn't sound like a bad idea to try at all.

That's what we thought? And we're totally prepared for it to be nothing, but there's the chance it might be something.

And we're still working out where? We have a couple of ideas.

But um, there's still a chance it might not be physically dangerous... but it might be mentally dangerous.

Yeah. So... On the off chance something does happen and we need help getting out, we thought it would be smart to make sure someone knows where we are and how long to wait before coming to try and help us out of there.

[ Duran nods after a moment seemingly satisfied with what they're thinking. He doesn't even feel a need to offer his own input. ]

All right. Who is the contact in your Family? [ he asks gingham. ] That's probably something worth knowing on my end, as well.

[ he'll let gingham answer first before offering! ]

... Gray and Frost know, too. And will come if needed, but we wanted to keep it you guys for obvious reasons.

Even if it's a ship, I can't make any useful suggestions of what to ask it until you speak with it. That's a shortcoming of my profession, I suppose.

I guess it's weird to think about asking a ship something, which is why we asked others... but you're sure? Not even something you've been thinking about?

Or like, nothing you want to ask about our plan or anything?
