That's quite alright with me! We can pick up some snacks as well, and make it into a picnic if we find a particularly nice corner of the gardens we want to enjoy.

Honestly, sounds like the best idea to me.

I'm liking the sound of it more and more now that I've said it, too. One moment, let me slip back inside and get us a basket for our prizes.

[Since they're still right by the dorms, Rose will get to that. Duran can come with or stay out here.]

Thank you for waiting! Now, off to the Lounge with us. We may as well enjoy our favorite things while we're here since it might be a little while before we can indulge in them again.

Yeah, I guess there's better food on land, but there's some weirdly addicting things to snack on in there I wouldn't normally eat.

Right? And now that I've gotten used to figuring out how to make a meal of appetizers I've grown oddly fond of the menu.

Hmm... I'm a simple person, so I think I'm partial to everything they go out of their way to shape like a rose, whether it's onions or potatoes or apples.

That's certainly not a bad thing to be partial to.

It's always fun to pretend something is especially for oneself. Have you found any little favorites like that, yourself?

Hmm ... Actually, the layered custard isn't bad, it's pretty unique. I didn't think I'd like savory custard so much.

But I like the nut mixes they have for snacks a lot.

Oh, the latter will be perfect to take on our walk. I think people eat those when they go on hikes, so it's close enough.

...Honestly, I think I'm gonna steal a bunch before we leave, too, because I really don't know what some of the nuts in the mix are, but I really want to get them?

Aha, sounds like a good idea! We can pour over an encyclopedia or such and see if we can find what tree they're from... mm, well, if you wouldn't be too busy, that is.

I'll absolutely give you dedicated time on my schedule. 'M not gonna run off on you again unless you tell me to, got it?

My, that makes it sound like you're the only one who "ran off"! I'll have you know I made myself very hard to reach as well, so I can't complain.

I wouldn't claim to feel "good", but I am at least solidly "okay", thank you. And as for the deal... I admit, part of wanting to talk to you today was to figure out things like that, if you're up for it. How have we both grown in our time apart, do we still get along like we used to... maybe even heavier things, like "would you want to be a part of my life again".

...All right, I'll let you alone, but if you start looking worse you're gonna have to deal with ultimate big brother mode, got it?

[ he is still putting the back of his hand to their head and then their cheeks to gauge their temperature. Duran knows it's probably not anything close to a traditional fever, but he can't help but want to make sure, anyway. ]

[It definitely does not feel like a normal fever and they don't look particularly flushed or anything, at least. Rose will endure getting touched so long as it doesn't last too long.]

We'll have to get extra tea for an extra long conversation, then! I have all sorts of things I'd love to tell you.

[ he will be good about it and give Rose back personal space soon enough since a normal fever isn't something he can do much about. and since they seem to be in good spirits at least...
